29% Of Unemployed Americans Have Been Jobless Over A Year

More than 1 in 4 unemployed Americans have been out of work for over a year, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics data issued Friday. Long-term joblessness has been rising steadily throughout the Covid pandemic and poses greater financial risks for affected households. Nearly 2.7 million people were unemployed for 52 weeks or more in April — more than double the amount in February, according to the Bureau. Read more at CNBC.
