Adidas Originals has joined forces with Los Angeles-based lifestyle brand Oyster Holdings.
Delving into the Adidas archives, Oyster Holdings draws on the terrace soccer culture and heritage designs beloved of die-hard traveling sports fans. Each piece of apparel, along with the two footwear styles, come together as a luxurious and laid-back ‘uniform’, perfectly suited to a 48-hour adventure.
Based on the original German Army Trainer (GAT), a staple of early terrace culture, the Oyster Holdings version of the Adidas Army sneaker is rendered in luxurious full grain leather and features a 70s-inspired retro tongue.
Meanwhile, the brand’s version of the Adidas Twinstrike captures the progressive features of early 2000s sneaker innovation, rendered in white and offset by the multi-colored pods on the midsole. The core of the apparel offering is inspired by the shirts worn by soccer referees, refined and elevated in true Oyster Holdings style. The minimalist styling again sits in contrast to the bursts of brightly colored three-stripe motifs, as well as the distinctive use of technical nylon paneling.
Adidas Originals x Oyster Holdings will be available for purchase on September 28th at travelingisasport.com and adidas.com.
