ALPHA INDUSTRIES JOINS FORCES WITH TAYLOR STITCH ON CAPSULE

by Stephen Garner

Alpha Industries has teamed up with Taylor Stitch for a special-edition capsule collection. This capsule collection reimagines some of the military heritage brand’s signature styles, the M-51 Field Jacket and ALS/92 Liner.

For this collaboration, the M-51 Field Jacket is featured in a bold Indigo Reverse Sateen finish that promises to patina beautifully and is cut from 100 percent organic cotton. The ALS/92 in Raven features a recycled nylon shell, recycled polyester for insulation and ribbing, and organic cotton accents.

This collaboration is a bit different than others because rather than having a set launch date and a specific number of units, this collection will be part of Taylor Stitch’s Workshop initiative where there will be a “funding period.” This gives customers a chance to pre-order their jackets and ultimately the goal of this model is to create products responsibly and avoid over-producing, which is one of the major causes of waste within the fashion industry.

This “funding period” is officially live on Taylor Stitch’s website and will run for through Tuesday, November 17th. The jackets will release for sale (and pre-orders will ship) in December. An official launch date has not been confirmed just yet.
