AMAZON AND THE CFDA CELEBRATE NYFWM
Monday evening, directly following New York Men’s Day, the first day of New York Fashion Week: Men’s, Amazon Fashion, together with East Dane, MyHabit and the Council of Fashion Designers of America, celebrated the inaugural season of the dedicated men’s week with a cocktail and unveiling of a specially commissioned exhibition by photographer Erik Madigan Heck. Amazon Fashion has spent the last few seasons investing in supporting burgeoning designers and the fashion industry overall, including the MET Gala and Amazon’s Studio Sessions. Amazon Fashion president Cathy Beaudoin has set out to help support the fashion landscape, and NYFWM’s is the latest of the company’s endeavors.
The event was attended by celebrities including Darren Criss, Joe Jonas, Victor Cruz, Dwyane Wade, Gabrielle Union, and Jesse Metcalfe, along with NYFWM designers such as Billy Reid, David Neville, Italo Zucchelli, Michael Bastian, Todd Snyder, Phillip Lim, Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne, with notable members of the menswear industry like Bruce Pask and Eric Jennings.
