French luxury brand Balenciaga has opened a new store in Honolulu, Hawaii at International Market Place.

This new location, in the neighborhood of Waikiki, complements Balenciaga’s first store in Honolulu by offering a larger selection of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections as well as accessories.

Located at 2330 Kalakaua Ave, the spacious, two-story shop has a street-facing entryway and window displays. It can also be accessed from inside the recently renovated open-air mall, a cultural landmark since 1956.

The new store’s interior design resumes a polished yet industrial atmosphere found in the Paris Balenciaga flagships. Exposed concrete floors, grated metal open ceilings and office-like pebbled walls are elements of the brand’s location in the Miami Design District.

The new Honolulu store is uniquely structured and furnished. Massive windows and a constellation of hanging light fixtures provide a constant glow to reflect off metallic display cases. A prominent staircase leads customers to the second floor, which is covered in an arresting pink tone-on-tone embossed logo carpet.
