New York-based advertising giant BBDO Worldwide has acquired a majority stake in Wednesday Agency Group, a London-based creative agency focused on fashion and luxury lifestyle brands. Its many clients include Aldo, Alexander McQueen, Calvin Klein, Cole Haan, Gant, J Crew, John Varvatos, Moncler, Mr. Porter and Vince.
Wednesday, which employs over 100 people in offices in London and New York, will continue to be run by its co-founders Jens Grede and Erik Torstensson, together with CEO Glenn Jones and president Ian Schatzberg. It will operate as a stand-alone agency brand within the BBDO Worldwide Group.
