BEN TAVERNITI JOINS PETER KIM, AS NEW CREATIVE DIRECTOR AT D-R-G-N
D-R-G-N, The luxury men’s streetwear brand created in partnership with the family of Bruce Lee, has named Ben Taverniti as its new creative director. Taverniti attended the ESMOD fashion school in Paris and launched his namesake brand, Taverniti Couture, before assuming a position as a design assistant to Jeremy Scott.
“D-R-G-N is more than a brand—it’s a philosophy,” said Taverniti. “It challenges me to go deeper as a designer, to create pieces that don’t just make a statement about Bruce Lee, or for Bruce Lee fans, but that carry deeper meaning men are seeking in functional, high-quality pieces.”
Taverniti comes to D-R-G-N from Hudson Jeans, where he served as Creative Director alongside Peter Kim, the founder and former CEO of Hudson Jeans, who is now the CEO and Co-Founder of D-R-G-N.
“Ben and I have always shared the common belief that fashion is about self-expression, and great fashion authentically reflects the soul,” said Kim. “We’re excited to bring that shared vision to life through a brand as symbolic as D-R-G-N. His ability to merge technical design with emotional depth is unmatched.”
D-R-G-N was created in direct cooperation with Bruce Lee Enterprises and the Bruce Lee Family. The brand aims to honor Lee’s legacy through design philosophies and with efforts to keep production local to Los Angeles.
