BERLUTI INTRODUCES NEW SNEAKER STYLE

by Stephen Garner

Berluti has introduced its newest sneaker style. Dubbed “Fly,” the footwear model is featured as part of the luxury brand’s winter 2021 collection.

Built using the blueprint of the brand’s “Graphic” sneaker – with its thick bi-color rubber outsole and geometric heel, inspired by the essential lines of 1970s running shoes, the Fly silhouette puts a creative spin on its palette, materials, and details to achieve a bolder style.

A rich leather layering in assertive tones and a slit of decorative all-around zig-zag stitching –sourced from Berluti’s archives – make for a bootmaker-inspired handcrafted upper, topped with a Berluti logo on the tongue and on the heel tab.

Three different versions are available: two are made from leather, with layered strips of laminated silver leather and zig-zag stitching (tone-on-tone on the white sneaker with a grey outsole detail; contrasted on the black and white one, complete with a red outsole detail). A Venezia rendition with a classic TDM Intenso patina sports black leather strips, tone-on-tone zig-zag stitching, and perforated details on the sides.

The Fly sneaker, which retails between $1,240 and $1,610, is now available in worldwide Berluti stores and e-shop.
