BILL LAVIN DESIGNS ELVIS TRIBUTE FOR LANSKY BROS.

Bill Lavin created this tribute belt buckle for retailer Lanky Bros. to mark the release of the new Baz Luhrman movie, Elvis.

You can’t help falling in love with this accessory.

Baz Luhrman’s “Elvis,” a biopic about the King of Rock & Roll, Elvis Presley, hits theaters on June 24th, just in time for summer blockbuster season. Naturally, Clothier to the King, Lansky Bros., is celebrating the film’s release and chose another great showman and designer — belt aficionado Bill Lavin — to design a signature piece for the occasion.

The Elvis belt buckle is sure to become a collector’s item: the 3 ½” x 2” plaque reflects the film’s title design, replete with Luhrman’s and Lavin’s signature sense of drama: a glossy black ground holds gold studs, ruby rhinestones, and deep scarlet and gold lettering (including Presley’s motto TCB, “Taking Care of Business in a Flash” logo), surrounded by a Vegas-worthy baroque gilt frame. The buckle can be preordered for $48 at the Lansky Bros. website.

The film stars Tom Hanks as Colonel Tom Parker, Olivia DeJonge as Priscilla Presley, and Austin Butler as Elvis Presley.
