BILLIONAIRE BOYS CLUB CELEBRATES 20 YEARS OF BRAND EVOLUTION

by John Russel Jones

Billionaire Boys Club, the luxury streetwear brand founded by Pharrell Williams and NIGO, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. In honor of the milestone moment, BBC ICECREAM is releasing an exclusive tee, in addition to debuting a special 20th-anniversary logo and digital experience. From the iconic astronaut graphics designed by SK8THING and delivered at a Tokyo nightclub, to flying a BBC t-shirt onboard the Atlantis Space Shuttle into outer space, with the creative community at the heart of our being, BBC continues to inspire and create with emerging to world-renowned artists and musicians around the globe.

As the brand celebrates 20 years of inspiring creatives and influencing style, design, and pockets of culture worldwide, Billionaire Boys Club is excited to honor this milestone year with special collaborative projects and experiences that will be shared with the brand’s fans around the world at global territories in NYC, Miami, London, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.

To kick off Billionaire Boys Club’s 20th anniversary, the brand will launch an Anniversary Program Collection—a series of special and limited-edition releases that will ultimately curate a full BBC20 anniversary collection at this year’s end.

The first item released from the BBC20 Anniversary Program is the BBC20 Tee, featuring the BBC OG Logo as a small left chest hit, as well as the new BBC20 Anniversary Logo on the back and a roman numeral 20th-anniversary logo on the back neck area. Designed by Billionaire Boys Club’s in-house creative team, the 20th-anniversary logo features the brand’s Starfield iconography and original Billionaire Boys Club astronaut character face, illustrated to form a scripted number 20. Future drops will include pieces that nod to Pharrell’s style moments wearing BBC and global projects that speak to the brand’s legacy.

Additionally, to highlight the brand’s rich history spanning two decades, the BBC20 web page launches as an immersive digital timeline that outlines iconic moments that have shaped the legacy of Billionaire Boys Club from 2003 to today.

“It’s amazing that we’ve continued to evolve and inspire and create all these years and still remain true to the brand. I get so much inspiration from the world and the amazing artists around me and that’s what has fueled a lot of our designs and collections,” said Pharrell Williams, Founder of BBC ICECREAM. “My eternal thanks to our community of creatives and those who have supported BBC for the last 20 years.”

The BBC20 logo and Anniversary Timeline web experience were unveiled today. The BBC20 Tee will be available for purchase starting March 30th at the BBC ICECREAM Flagships in NYC and Miami and on bbcicecream.com.
