Online suit and tuxedo rental site The Black Tux has teamed up with the designers of Ovadia & Sons on a special capsule collection that will be available at www.theblacktux.com in October. This is the first time The Black Tux has collaborated with a designer or brand.
The collaboration consists of two complete looks co-designed by the brands. The first look is a two-button, notch lapel tan suit for a less formal event which is completed with a white dress shirt, gray silk-knit tie and floral print pocket square. The second look is a double-breasted, peak lapel tuxedo, finished with a formal white dress shirt, black silk bow tie and pocket square.
“When we first met the Ovadia brothers, we thought they were the ideal fit for a partnership,” said Andrew Blackmon, co-founder of The Black Tux. “With these products, we focused more on design than we have on any of our garments to date. I’d like to think that our next step in our business is reflected in this collaboration.”
Ariel Ovadia, co-founder and designer at Ovadia & Sons: “We decided to partner with The Black Tux because the quality they’re offering is up to our standards. We felt it was a good way for us to reach a new audience, especially at the price they’re offering.”
