BLOOMINGDALE’S LAUNCHES SPRING CAMPAIGN WITH ALAN CUMMING, DIDI GREGORIOUS

Bloomingdales’ iconic 59th Street flagship store has unveiled its spring campaign, entitled “The Heart of New York”, which celebrates the retailer’s deep connection to the city and its heritage since 1872. Launching today, the campaign showcases images of the five distinguished New Yorkers along with personal stories of their favorite memories of Bloomingdale’s 59th Street and NYC.

The five personalities who will bring the campaign to life are Alan Cumming (actor), Didi Gregorius (New York Yankees shortstop), Elaine Welteroth (editor and activist), Sarah Jessica Parker (actor, producer and business owner) and Christy Turlington Burns (model and founder & CEO of Every Mother Counts).

Said Cumming, a Tony Award winner for his performance in “Cabaret” and the star of the current TV series “Instinct”: “I think Bloomingdale’s is so beloved because it’s just one of those things that you associate with New York. It’s always sort of sure, and you know exactly what you’re getting, and yet it still surprises you.”

The campaign will continue through the fall and come to life across New York City through subway car takeovers, wrapped Hampton Jitney Ambassador buses, taxi cabs toppers and wild postings, all featuring images of the stars and their stories about Bloomingdale’s 59th Street.
