BLOOMINGDALE’S OPENS PAUL SMITH 50TH ANNIVERSARY POP-UP AT 59TH STREET FLAGSHIP

by Stephen Garner

Bloomingdale’s is celebrating Paul Smith’s 50th Anniversary with a new 250 square foot pop-up at its 59th Street flagship in New York City.

The pop-up offers a selection from Paul Smith’s anniversary capsule collection, which revives and reworks graphics from the brand’s archive, with a focus on apparel and accessories featuring the shiny green apple motif that debuted in a 1990 men’s collection. This marks the British designer’s first pop-up in the U.S. dedicated to the capsule collection.

At the 59th Street pop-up, shoppers will find apparel such as sweatshirts, hoodies, t-shirts, camp collar shirts, jogger pants, track and bomber-style jackets, along with accessories spanning socks, wallets, baseball and bucket hats, waist bags, and more. In addition to the apple print, select items will also feature the manor house print seen in the brand’s capsule. The collection is also available on bloomingdales.com.

Additional gifts at the 59th Street pop-up include the Paul Smith 50th Anniversary book, which captures the unique spirit of British fashion icon Sir Paul Smith through 50 objects chosen by Sir Paul himself, and gifting product in the iconic Paul Smith stripe print.

The green apple print is carried throughout the pop-up shop’s design and the Bloomingdale’s 59th Street windows on Third Avenue, which feature mannequins dressed in the collection and a larger-than-life 3-D green apple to coincide with the print.

The pop-up is now open and will run until November 2nd.
