Bloomingdale’s Opening Manhattan Outlet Store
Macy’s Inc. will open its first Bloomingdale’s Outlet store in New York this fall. The three-level, 25,000 sq. ft. store will be on Manhattan’s Upper West Side on Broadway and 72nd Street. The off-price store will carry all major categories, including menswear.
“This is a premier, flagship location for Bloomingdale’s Outlet at one of the busiest intersections in Manhattan, and with a major subway located just footsteps away,” said Bloomingdale’s CEO Tony Spring. “We see Bloomingdale’s Outlet as a growth vehicle for our company as we continue to refine and roll out stores based on our learnings over the past several years.”
Bloomingdale’s launched the Outlet concept in 2010. The other 13 Outlet stores are outside major urban areas, although two are in the New York metropolitan area: Paramus, NJ and Westbury Plaza, NY.
