Bloomingdale’s will unveil its first Outlet store in Manhattan at 2085 Broadway (at 72nd Street) on Saturday, November 21. It will be the first of the company’s off-price stores to bow in a major urban area.

The 25,000-square-foot, three-level store will carry all major apparel categories, including menswear, women’s, children’s, and intimates, along with jewelry and handbags. In addition, the store will include a branch of its popular frozen yogurt shop, Forty Carrots.

“This is a premier, flagship location for Bloomingdale’s Outlet at one of the busiest intersections in Manhattan, and with a major subway located just footsteps away,” said Bloomingdale’s CEO and chairman Tony Spring. “This is a great opportunity to expand the reach of our brand to value-conscious customers as well as better serve the expansive needs of our core west side customers.”

Bloomingdale’s currently has two full-priced stores in Manhattan, its flagship on 59th Street and Lexington Avenue, and another on lower Broadway in SoHo.

The company launched the Outlet concept in 2010, and has previously opened 13 such stores, including ones in the Bergen Town Center in Paramus, NJ and The Gallery at Westbury Plaza on Long Island. Two more Outlet stores will open this fall: one in San Diego, California, and one in Center City, Philadelphia.
