BOB’S WATCHES IS AUCTIONING OFF 5 ICONIC HOLLYWOOD TIMEPIECES

by Stephen Garner

Online timepiece store Bob’s Watches is hosting a vintage watch auction this week featuring iconic pieces from Hollywood’s past.

Called “Iconic Watches of Hollywood” auction, the event offers five of the most sought after “famous” watches of all time. One watch, in particular, will be sure to get the attention of watch collectors and movie enthusiasts alike, the Rolex Submariner, a.k.a. “James Bond Submariner.” With the passing of Sean Connery on October 31st, Bob’s Watches wanted to honor his legacy by bringing the first Rolex 6538 to auction. Bidding for this watch starts at $165,000.

Other timepieces up for grabs include the Rolex “Paul Newman” Daytona, starting at $165,000; Rolex GMT Master (like the one featured in Pussy Galore), starting at $150,000; the Rolex Submariner (like the one worn by Steve McQueen), starting at $29,000; and the Omega Seamaster 300 (like the one worn by Daniel Craig in Spectre) starting at $6,500.

The “Fresh Finds – Iconic Watches of Hollywood” runs through Monday, November 23rd.
