Moments after debuting at London Fashion Week runway, British luxury brand Burberry introduced its first exclusive see now, buy now collection for men and women at New York-based luxury store Barneys.
Partnering with Barneys, the British brand is selling a selection of pieces as they’re seen on the runway, doing away with the traditional fashion retail model.
The brand’s first straight-to-customer collection is inspired by Virginia Woolf’s novel Orlando, featuring romantic, edgy, and more gender-neutral looks. The luxurious collection of heavily detailed velvets and silks contrast rich jewel tones like emerald green and amethyst with softer shades of pale pink and blue.
“The Burberry looks that we collaborated on are romanticized utilitarian and truly seasonless in our eyes. All of the items are must-haves!” said Barneys COO Daniella Vitale. “We love the idea of doing special projects and partnerships, like this exclusive capsule collection. Our customer craves these unique opportunities, and so do we.”
