CANADA GOOSE TEAMS UP WITH JUUN.J

by Stephen Garner

Canada Goose has teamed up with Juun.J to present a reinterpretation of three of its legacy parkas – and for the first time ever in Canada Goose’s 10+ years of brand collaborations, a knitwear piece within the capsule. First seen on the runway at Paris men’s fashion week in January 2019, these pieces fuse technicality with exaggerated proportions and graphic silhouettes.

Canada Goose x Juun.J’s expedition parka, Snow Mantra parka, and Resolute 3-in-1 parka were designed with the purpose to perform. Each style is a combination of the unmistakable identity of Juun.J, known for its minimal yet structured aesthetic, with the classic design features of Canada Goose. The outerwear range retails between $1,595 and $1,895.

Canada Goose knitwear makes its collaboration debut with the collection’s Ashcroft hoody ($650) crafted with ultra-fine Merino wool at the body and nylon fabric on the hood and shoulders for added durability. This design also uses Canada Goose’s proprietary thermal mapping technology, which employs strategically alternating stitches to create a more open knit construction in areas prone to overheating – the upper back, under the sleeves and on the side of the body.

These four oversized, co-branded styles are unisex and available in Canada Goose heritage colorways: Snow Mantra and Resolute in black; the Expedition in black and red; and the Ashcroft in black and military green.

The collection is now available online, at select Canada Goose stores, and in select wholesale partners around the globe including Saks Fifth Avenue.
