CANALI FOR ART PROJECT EXHIBITS FAUSTA SQUATRITI SCULPTURES IN ITS MILAN STORE AS PART OF A COLLABORATION WITH MUSEOCITY
As part of the Canali for Art project and in collaboration with MuseoCity and the Fausta Squatriti Archive, the luxury menswear brand has renewed its cultural commitment with an exclusive exhibition inside its Via Verri, Milan store. For this occasion, eight sculptures by Fausta Squatriti (1941-2024) transform the space into an immersive journey through material, time, and experimentation. Spread across the different floors of the store, the artworks create a dialogue between the artist’s creations and the brand’s sartorial elegance, offering visitors a multisensory experience that merges art and fashion.
The selected works belong to the Colored Sculptures cycle (1964-72), where geometric rigidity blends with chromatic elements inspired by pop art. Fausta Squatriti uses industrial materials such as steel, plexiglass, and lacquered iron, adopting automotive industry techniques to transcend the traditional concept of the artwork.
In this exhibition, the material innovation of Fausta Squatriti’s works meets Canali’s stylistic research. The initiative is part of Milano MuseoCity (March 2nd – 8th), an event involving over 130 museums and institutions through exhibitions and special projects. This year’s theme, The Streets of Art, explores the relationship between artistic heritage and the urban environment, with initiatives such as In Vetrina, which brings art into the city’s exhibition spaces.
Following successful collaborations with artists Goldschmied & Chiari and Linda Carrara, the brand continues its cultural journey, offering guests a unique experience that celebrates Italian talent and creativity.
