CLOT TEAMS UP WITH RALPH LAUREN

by Stephen Garner

Just in time for the Chinese New Year, and the year of the Ox, Hong Kong-based fashion brand CLOT has teamed up with Polo Ralph Lauren on an exclusive limited-edition capsule collection.

Reinforcing CLOT’s mission to bridge the East and the West, the partnership pays homage to CLOT’s Chinese heritage and Ralph Lauren’s signature American styles through thoughtfully-designed apparel that can be dressed up or down.

The collection features CLOT’s iconic Silk Royale print, bringing a Chinese-inspired edge to a tight assortment of Polo heritage pieces. The Silk Royale print has been updated to feature Polo Ralph Lauren’s timeless Pony logo and appears throughout the collaboration, merging both brands stylistically to reflect their respective identities.

The collection consists of Polo icons, such as the classic Polo Shirt, Oxford Shirt, Bayport Windbreaker and Chambray work shirts remixed with frog button details and CLOT Silk Royale panels. More casual pieces include a selection of tie-dye sweatshirts and all-over print t-shirts emblazoned with both Polo Ralph Lauren and CLOT branding. Highlights include the Wool Toggle Varsity Jacket with CLOT’s dragon chest patch, and a classic Polo Chino with CLOT x Polo Ralph Lauren Silk Royal lining. The Polo Court sneaker has been reimagined through a CLOT lens and accessories include a tote bag, cap and belt.

The collection’s campaign features CLOT co-founder Edison Chen, and pays homage to Polo Heritage ads from the ‘80s and ‘90s. Shot by Kenneth Cappello, the images highlight the world of Ralph Lauren through a Chinese lens, taking cues from past inspirations to create a whole new world for CLOT x Polo.

The collection will be available starting January 27th in JUICE locations worldwide, juicestore.com, select Dover Street Market stores, the POLO app, select Ralph Lauren locations worldwide, and ralphlauren.com.
