Converse x Dr. Woo

Converse x Dr. WooConverse has partnered with the iconic tattoo artist Dr. Woo to reveal a second premium apparel and footwear collection.

In Dr. Woo’s second take on the Chuck 70, he applies a 360 approach, infusing his love of art and design onto the silhouette. The collection taps into Woo’s fascination with the idea of ‘evolution’ and materializes it directly onto the canvas.

Once again leveraging the Chuck 70’s canvas as a means for storytelling, Woo seeks a literal interpretation for his vision – one that is always in a state of change so it never feels stagnant. Converse x Dr. Woo is designed to tap into the character and experiences of the wearer, not vice versa. The antithesis of today’s sneakers, Woo sees beauty in the breakdown of the shoe.

Inspired by the color and lifestyle associated with vintage off-road vehicles, the collaboration blends grit and utility by adding an additional layer of canvas to the silhouette, which can be torn, cut or worn to reveal a print beneath.

Converse x Dr. Woo“The shoe is a culmination of all things that I love – vintage, the wearing in of your own clothes, how it keeps developing, transitioning, and how the Chuck, specifically, can stay in your life so long,” said Dr. Woo.

The Converse x Dr. Woo collection includes a black and white Chuck 70 silhouette which reveal Sunset Gold and Green Absinthe colorways respectively. Two youth styles are available in Horizon Blue and Mellon colorways, and both packs come with three sets of laces and a transparent outsole featuring Woo’s signature eye motif. The collection also includes a coaches jacket with durable wind- and water-proof 3-Layer Gore-Tex fabric, two functional front side pockets, adjustable hook and loop cuffs, Dr. Woo embroidered artwork and heat transferred artwork prints.

Available on and select retailers on September 6, Converse x Dr. Woo youth styles will retail for $65, adult styles $110, and Gore-Tex coaches jacket for $350.
