Italian luxury car maker Maserati has tapped David Beckham as its new global brand ambassador.

According to the company, the global sporting icon, philanthropist, businessman, and style setter is the “perfect partner to accompany Maserati on the next leg of its journey, breaking boundaries and driving the brand forward to the forefront of luxury motoring in the 21st century.”

The debut campaign, directed by Harmony Korine, sees Beckham driving the brand’s ultimate performance SUV, the Levante Trofeo, as he goes about his day in Miami. And, he’s doing it quite stylishly. Beckham is seen sporting a printed Saint Laurent shirt, black trousers from The Row, and Saint Laurent white loafers in the video. He can also be seen in a cream Umit Benan shirt, brown Gucci trousers, and white Saint Laurent loafers.

Paolo Tubito, Maserati’s chief marketing officer, said: “The brand is moving forward, inaugurated a new era. Maserati is driven to challenge the status quo by being innovative by nature, powered by passion, and unique by design. The partnership with David is the embodiment of all these values.”

“It’s an exciting time for me to begin this partnership with Maserati; an iconic Italian brand which shares my appreciation for the very best innovation and design,” added Beckham. “I’m looking forward to working closely with the brand at such a pivotal time in their history and continuing their growth on a global scale.”
