DOCKERS REINTERPRETS ITS SIGNATURE KHAKI IN A SUSTAINABLE WAY WITH ATELIER & REPAIRS COLLAB

by Stephen Garner

Dockers’ signature khaki is getting another update, this time with a collaboration with apparel transformation company Atelier & Repairs.

Consisting of three distinct styles – The Camo Strip, The Kennedy and The Traveler – the pieces in the collaboration are subtle, with details that are utilitarian and practical. The foundation of this collection starts with the Dockers best-selling Signature Khaki in a classic pleated fit.

“From technical fabrications to sought-after seasonal styles, we strive to provide our guys with the best craftsmanship and comfort,” said Lauren Johnson, senior director of global marketing. “As a company, we support innovation in our industry around the best possible practices and sustainability, along with efforts to extend the life of our garments. This partnership with Atelier & Repairs gives us a fresh opportunity to offer our best-selling style reinterpreted into something different, but still true to Dockers.”

“Dockers is a blank canvas,” added Maurizio Donadi, co-founder of Atelier & Repairs. “They are a widely democratic brand that is recognized for great quality at an affordable price point, which was the perfect foundation for me to reimagine what a pair of chinos is. I think the approach to this collection is casual, something you can wear every day. We didn’t want this reimagination to be far away from the authenticity of Dockers. In my eyes, Dockers® is not an exclusive brand. It is an inclusive brand, and I think what we’ve created really speaks to that.”

The three styles, which retail for $225 each, are now available.
