Edwin Nazario to Join Trands as EVP of North America, Open NYC Office

Dayang Trands, the China-based custom clothing maker, has hired former Gladson VP Edwin Nazario as its new executive vice president for North America. Nazario will be opening a New York City office for Trands for the company’s management, sales and marketing staff. The Los Angeles office will continue to handle operations and distribution.

Nazario has been a VP at Gladson Ltd., the luxury fabric maker and distributor, for the last three years. He has also worked for Giorgio Armani Fashion Corp., GFT Mexico, Ermenegildo Zegna and Woolmark Americas.

“I couldn’t be more pleased with this announcement,” said COO Todd Gay. “Edwin brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Dayang Trands USA. His experience and knowledge of the industry will support our mission to serve the needs of our customers.”

Dayang Trands founder and president Madam Li added, “With Edwin’s knowledge of high-end luxury clothing both from the production and marketing side, as well as his in-depth knowledge of custom clothing, he is ideally suited for this new position. Dalian, China-based Dayang was founded by Li Guilian in 1979 and the Trands brand of custom clothing launched in 1995. The brand surged in profile in the West when billionaire Warren Buffett publicly endorsed it in 2009.
