Lower East Side sneaker and lifestyle boutique Extra Butter, which first opened its doors in 2007, has reopened at 125 Orchard Street after a much-anticipated redesign by noted Japanese architect Nobuo Araki.

The redesigned store runs a complete city block, from Orchard to Allen Streets, and now includes a café and concession stand, among other improvements. The space will also be used for a variety of purposes; for example, there will be movie nights that use a two-way projection screen, with customers sitting in old-school movie theater seats.

The store’s product assortment will still focus on sneakers and lifestyle, with an emphasis on special projects and collaborations with top-tier fashion brands. Currently, the store is featuring the Extra Butter x Ghostface for Asics Tiger & New Era collaboration. Upcoming collaborations include the limited edition Cat Footwear X Extra Butter collection and the Timex x Staple MK1 Aluminum Watch.
