Outdoor clothing and bag company Filson has unveiled its limited-edition Smokey Bear collection in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service.

A beloved icon and a symbol of safely experiencing the great outdoors to generations of Americans, Smokey Bear’s rich heritage makes for an ideal pairing with Filson and its over 100-year history as a manufacturer of rugged goods sewn in the USA.

The focal point of the collection is the Smokey Bear watch. Adorned with the classic Smokey Bear icon and signature slogan: “Only You Can Prevent Wildfires”, this special, individually numbered watch is limited to 1,000 pieces, and comes with a complement of collectible accessories including: a certificate of authenticity, a book that tells the story of Smokey Bear and the Filson relationship with the outdoors, a bandana featuring Smokey’s image and outdoor safety tips, and six postcards of reimagined, vintage Smokey posters. The range also includes a Smokey Bear blanket made with 100-percent Virgin Wool by Pendleton as well as a T-shirt, water bottle and cap.

To help celebrate the launch, Filson held a private lunch with menswear insiders at 620 Loft & Garden at Manhattan’s famed Rockefeller Center on Monday, August 1. Attendees joined Smokey Bear for the unveiling of the collection and a fire safety and prevention conversation.
