FRAGRANCE AT THE FURNITURE FAIR: ZEGNA INTRODUCES NEW SCENTS IN MILAN

by Christopher Blomquist

As part of the annual Salon del Mobile design expo currently taking place in Milan, Ermenegildo Zegna launched its new fragrance collection at its flagship store on Via Monte Napoleone yesterday.

Keeping with the theme of the fair, each of the five scents of Zegna’s new Essenze Eau De Parfum offering was showcased in a separate space devised and created by the material exploration house The Unseen. The cubic areas used color and light to symbolize and visualize the olfactory and emotional experience each cologne stimulates.

The different illuminations were also a nod to the 30th anniversary this year of Euroluce, the international lighting fair that runs in tandem with Salon del Mobile.

Zegna created the new collection together with licensee the Estée Lauder Companies. The five options include Mediterranean Neroli, Indonesian Oud, Madras Cardoman, Florentine Iris and Italian Bergamot. The latter uses bergamot that is harvested from a Zegna-owned field in the Calabria region of southern Italy.

The Essenze Eau De Parfum collection is available at Ermenegildo Zegna stores worldwide and its online store. Each 100 ml bottle retails for $220.
