FRED SEGAL HOSTS POP-UP IN THE HAMPTONS

by Stephen Garner

Fred Segal has opened its first East Coast retail footprint with a limited-time pop-up in the Hamptons. Available to shop now, the pop-up brings the Los Angeles style and culture Fred Segal is known for to the Hamptons, offering East Coasters the chance to shop a curated selection of brands and exclusive styles in person.

As part of Fred Segal’s 60th anniversary ‘Summer of Love’ celebration, the retailer is activating within Isaac Boot’s TORCH’D Shoppe, a 2,700 square foot retail space, that will include a compelling mix of brands and products personally curated by celebrity trainer, choreographer, and Broadway dancer, Isaac Boots. The Fred Segal shop-in-shop features a highly curated collection of fashion apparel, accessories, gifts, and more, along with offering exclusive pieces that will only be available at the Hamptons pop-up. Brands and designers such as Lisa Says Gah, Cotton Citizen, Boy Smells, Nina Segal, and MNC Atelier are available within Fred Segal’s shop, perfect for vacationers out East for the summer.

“We always get requests for an East Coast presence and we’ve loved partnering with Isaac so this seemed like a serendipitous opportunity, especially as we celebrate our 60th anniversary all summer,” said Jeff Lotman, owner and CEO of Fred Segal. “As we continue to expand across the U.S., we’re thrilled to bring the Los Angeles lifestyle and culture to the Hamptons for the first time. The Hamptons is known for its vibrant and lively atmosphere and our curated mini boutique is just a taste of what’s to come for the brand, not just on the East Coast, but globally.”

TORCH’D Shoppe was created by licensing and branding executive Michael Catalano, who is also Isaac’s personal manager, who shared: “We are thrilled to host the first-ever Fred Segal pop up in New York.  We wanted to create an experiential marketplace that not only offered unique products, but would also accommodate video recording, live streaming and live selling as well as product demos, author signings, and live musical performances. It’s truly a working studio and retail store and it will serve as the blueprint for similar activations in other markets.”

In addition to Fred Segal’s curation, guests will find a selection of TORCH’D Shoppe merch by Isaac as well as swimwear, jewelry, athleisure, home goods, apparel, and more from brands including OPDNY, Jennifer Miller Jewelry, FP Movement, Peter Thomas Roth, Terez, Gold No. 8, Carol Brodie Jewelry, and MZ Skin.

The Fred Segal pop-up is available to shop now through the fall within the Torch’d Shoppe at 352 Montauk Highway, Wainscott, NY 11975.
