Neighborhood Goods has welcomed Gen Z brand, d.RT (pronounced “dirt”), to its roster of digitally-native brands within the fashion, accessories, home decor, and wellness spaces.
The d.RT integration marks a continued focus by Neighborhood Goods to cater to the Gen Z consumer. The retailer’s unique model provides an opportunity for the discovery of emerging brands such as d.RT as it recognizes the importance of the Gen Z consumer as true changemakers with technology at the center of their lives and willingness to mobilize themselves for a variety of important causes. The move is timely as this generation is starting to take ownership in their appearance and making their own purchase decisions.
Launched in November 2020 by Brian and Paula Brunson and Paula’s 16-year-old brother Dylan Thompson, d.RT is a young men’s brand that aims to leverage its collection and platform to instill positivity and good to help shape today’s generation of young men. The brand was founded to fill a void in the market space for young men who appreciate fashion, but are not currently served by the industry.
“After tirelessly looking to connect with meaningful brands curated for young men my age, I approached my sister with the idea to launch d.RT,” said Thompson. “Off the bat, we knew we wanted our brand to have a strong point of view and offer other positive contributions to issues facing my age group in an authentic and untapped way. Teaming up with Neighborhood Goods gives d.RT and opportunity to build out a physical retail footprint and we could not be more excited about the partnership.”
“At Neighborhood Goods, we believe in a well-balanced, carefully-curated mix of brands and products, which, above all else, is relevant to our audience,” added Matt Alexander, co-founder of Neighborhood Goods. “With d.rt, we’re excited to experiment with a brand devoted to a younger audience, in particular, which we’re sure will be to the benefit of all in our spaces, as well.”
The d.RT collection offers a variety of fashion-forward young men’s tailored clothing, tees, joggers, and select accessories. The brand is now available on the Neighborhood Goods website and all store locations.
