Gershkowitz, Schuster Take Posts at DC Design

by MR Magazine Staff

NEW YORK – Ross Gershkowitz, managing director of Mallory & Church, has been named to the additional post of chief operating officer of DC Design International, David Chu’s design and marketing vehicle.

Additionally, David Schuster has joined DC Design as vice president of sales with responsibility for both the David Chu and LINCS by DC & Company divisions. He succeeds Nelson Suriel, who last month was named president of sales at Charles G. Bailey, a new men’s collection from Ben and Isaac Greszes.

Schuster was previously with Joseph Abboud.

Officials at DC Design didn’t respond to requests for comment, but the company notified retail accounts of the appointments in a letter that was forwarded to MRketplace.com.

Since the sale of Nautica to VF Corp., Chu’s far-flung apparel interests have come to include not only his new collection, LINCS and Mallory & Church, but also a commission as executive creative director for Tumi Inc. with responsibility for oversight of design, merchandising, advertising, public relations and store design for the company’s men’s and women’s collections.
