GETTING THE WORD OUT

Kudos to Banana Republic for showing their customers that suits are cool again. In their recent ad campaign “The Art of Suiting”, beautiful photography of good-looking models in modern tailored clothing with succinct but relevant copy (“Impeccably tailored. Crafted for movement.”) sends out a strong simple message: suits are back! While we have no info yet on how well BR’s signature hopsack suit jacket ($400 retail) and hopsack suit pants ($200) are actually selling (or at what price), we commend BR for reminding customers how great men look dressed up a bit, and reminding the menswear community the impact of compelling advertising.
