FW2015_GildedAge_Look8Gilded Age debuted its Fall/Winter 2015 collection during New York Fashion Week at the Refinery Hotel Rooftop. This venue proved to be fitting for the collection with its original brick and reclaimed wood.

Designer Stefan Miljanic pulled inspiration from Marlon Brando’s 1954 movie On the Waterfront. The dark, light and shadowed streets depicted in the movie not only represent the collection but also the Old Seaport where the brand’s store is located. Here Miljanic drew inspiration from the cobblestone streets and the old brownstone rooftops peering at the port and the old bridge.

The dark palette of the collection included grays, browns and blues with hints of orange and red. With outerwear as the main focus, lightly padded parkas, military-inspired Wool Melton pea-coats, plaid jackets and reversible bomber jackets in both solid and textured wool were accessorized with double-faced plaid scarves.

Gilded Age continued with their signature knitted outerwear showcasing chunky cashmere blend sweaters and printed plaid shirts in multiple textures.

In denim, Gilded Age introduced a variety of denim shades such as black, gray and blue, finishing the collection with Japanese double face denims. These vintage-look jeans were shown in a variety of fabrications like selvage, stretch denim and twill.
