British heritage sportswear brand Gola Classics has teamed up with premium leather goods brand Slightly Alabama on an exclusive sneaker.

The collaboration consists of Gola’s classic Harrier sneaker in one exclusive colorway. Gola’s Harrier has been a part of the brand’s repertoire since 1968, remaining one of the top styles of the company. Slightly Alabama has given Harrier its handcrafted treatment, featuring a signature gold ‘G’ on the hand-stitched wing flash. The upper of Harrier was also given a personal touch by Slightly Alabama founder and CEO, Dana Glaeser, to incorporate the distinctive Slightly Alabama handwriting, this included a rich tan leather upper and distinctive tongue and heel tab branding. Glaeser has hand stitched the wing flash of each upper and the shoe construction has been completed in Gola’s U.K.-based factory.

Gola Classics x Slightly Alabama“Great craftsmanship should be celebrated and this partnership truly represents that,” said Glaeser. “I was drawn initially to Gola as they have genuine heritage and craftsmanship background. Our values align greatly and it is my true aspiration to build a legacy similar to Gola. I am excited to bring forward an exclusive style that celebrates our similar esthetics and one that I know our consumers will enjoy.”

The collection marks the next generation of Gola’s successful collaboration series with past brands including Engineered Garments, Grahame Fowler, and Liberty. The limited edition sneaker, which retails for $175, will be sold online exclusively on the Slightly Alabama website, in addition, consumers will also have the opportunity to purchase at three upcoming specialty holiday pop-ups in New York City, American Field, Empire Stores Dumbo and the ONS Clothing holiday market.
