GOSHA RUBCHINSKIY NAMED PITTI UOMO 90 MENSWEAR GUEST DESIGNER
Russian designer Gosha Rubchinskiy has been named the menswear guest designer at Pitti Uomo 90, which will take place June 14-16 in Florence. He will be presenting his spring/summer 2017 collection along with a photography project created for the event.
Rubchinskiy’s inspiration for his collection includes post-Soviet youth culture, photography and movies. Since 2012, his brand has been produced and distributed by Comme des Garçons.
Pitti Immagine has also named Japanese brand Visvim as this season’s Designer Project. The men’s collection by Hiroki Nakamura, founder and designer of Visvim, is the result of a very eclectic approach where American-inspired work wear is refreshed by high-tech design. In Florence, Nakamura will present – for the first time ever – a total experience by Visvim: a performance-showing of the men’s collection that includes clothes and looks for women.
Additionally, Italian designer Fausto Puglisi will present the international preview of a men’s capsule collection that will be shown together with his 2017 resort collection for women.
