Greats has launched a new line of sneakers designed in Brooklyn and made in Italy from recycled-single use and ocean plastics.  Each pair of the Brooklyn-based footwear brand’s new Royale Knits collection is constructed from the equivalent of 7 plastic water bottles.

The Royale Knit is Greats first sneaker that will play a role in the sustainable fashion conversation currently being discussed in the sneaker and fashion space.  The shoe is a clean, stylish, comfortable and well-priced sneaker that will sit well along with other competitors who have similar products.

Further, this new style will help in contributing to clean oceans, healthier wildlife, all while looking great. Each pair will be packaged in 100 percent recycled materials as well and sit upon the classic Greats Royale rubber sole that customers have embraced over the years.

“Greats is always trying to be better than, and with the release of our Royale Knit constructed from recycled ocean plastics this is an opportunity for us to tell the world,” said Ryan Babenzien, founder and CEO of Greats. “Not just at launch, but as a long-term conversation of what Greats stands for as a brand.”

The new Royale Knit sneaker is now available for $119 for men and women in multiple colors.
