HERTLING LAUNCHES CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN

by Stephen Garner

Hertling has made premium handcrafted trousers in America for almost 100 years and is now asking its customers to help keep American manufacturing alive as it relocates its factory from Brooklyn, NY to Fall River, MA—home to many other American brands.

For the month of March, the brand has launched a crowdfunding campaign that offers its core style, the cotton stretch chinos, at wholesale prices (regular price is $228, pre-order for $128).

The crowdfunding campaign is meant to provide customers with a great price while helping to bridge the gap financially as the company transitions to its new location in Fall River. Production will begin at the end of the pre-order period, with an estimated ship date of mid-May, making it a win-win for Hertling and for customers who don’t mind waiting a bit.
