House of Fraser to Close Stores in Bid to Stay Afloat

British department House of Fraser, which has 59 stores in the UK and Ireland, is looking to clean up its portfolio of stores at the same time that China’s C.banner, which also owns Hamleys, is taking a 51 percent stake in the company, shifting control from another Chinese firm, Nanjing Cenbest.
