J.HILBURN EXPANDS ITS CUSTOM-MADE CASUAL OFFERING

by Stephen Garner

Custom-made menswear brand J.Hilburn has launched a new collection of custom-made clothing focused on casual wardrobing.

The custom-made casual assortment includes knits, polos, tees, zip-necks, hoodies, with an extended range of 5 pocket pants, chinos, and shorts as well as a new pull-on short. Layered outerwear pieces include vests, deconstructed blazers in knit fabrications, and vest front styles offering the outerwear sportscoat hybrid.

The new casual offering features a selection of fabrics from longstanding global mill partners such Ermenegildo Zegna Cloth, Loro Piana Cloth, Reda 1865, and Vitale Barberis Canonico utilizing stretch and performance technologies fundamental in comfortable casual clothes. This maintains a level of innovation and luxury that the J.Hilburn client expects across all product categories in the collection, even casual.

Each item from the causal collection is customizable, just like the brand’s more tailored items. There is a slate of options and personalization opportunities –  including monogramming – available.

“Menswear’s evolution is one of the shifting paradigms of modern fashion. The go-forward post-COVID strategy for menswear is based on the importance of ease of wear, comfort, and performance without losing handmade, made-to-measure appeal,” said Simon Kneen, chief creative officer at J.Hilburn. “Balancing technology and craftsmanship is a way to maintain relevance through our total look collections. The new importance of the casual wardrobe cannot be overlooked even with offices opening again and seeing a steady uptick in suit and sportcoat sales.”
