J.Lindeberg’s head fashion designer Jessy Heuvelink has decided to part from the company he has worked at for more than 11 years to focus on his own projects, including his brand JH Nocturnal. His last day will be December 31. This news comes on the heels of the announcement of founder Johan Lindeberg returning to the company in January as a creative consultant.

“Jessy has been a tremendous part of the J.Lindeberg brand,” said Stefan Engström, CEO and co-owner of J.Lindeberg. “With his sense of aesthetic he has been a vital part of the successful journey we have gone through these last few years, including growth and turning loss to profit. That could never have been done without a strong vision and sense for the balance of fashion and commercial for our fashion collections.”

Heuvelink was recruited by Johan Lindeberg to join J.Lindeberg as a sports designer in 2005. Since then he has advanced in the company and has held the position of head of fashion design for the last four years.

“It is after careful consideration that I have decided to leave my position as head designer of J.Lindeberg fashion,” said Heuvelink. “I want to pursue the other interests in my life, including my own brand JH Nocturnal and other artistic projects. The brand is ready for the next chapter and I am grateful and proud to have been part of this amazing journey in establishing the solid platform the brand has today. I would like to thank all of the inspiring people who I have worked passionately with over the last 11 years.”
