JIMMY REILLY NAMED DESIGN DIRECTOR FOR KARL LAGERFELD OUTERWEAR
by Stephen Garner Mar 04, 2016
G-III Apparel Group, Ltd. has appointed Jimmy Reilly as design director of men’s outerwear for Karl Lagerfeld North America. His first collection will be available this coming fall.
Reilly joins G-III from Rogue where he was a principal and the creative director of the brand, gaining valuable experience in both outerwear and ready-to-wear.
As previously reported by MR, G-III Apparel purchased a minority stake in the Karl Lagerfeld brand late last week to extend their business development opportunities on a global scale. The company holds the licenses to numerous outerwear divisions, including G.H. Bass, Calvin Klein, Cole Haan, Kenneth Cole, Marc New York/Andrew Marc, and Tommy Hilfiger.
