Los Angeles-based designer John Elliott has launched a unisex capsule collection with Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA. Focusing on Yamaha’s Watercraft Group, and more specifically, the Waverunner, the collaboration draws inspiration from a sponsored athlete and water sport enthusiast.
The collection features recycled cotton long sleeve tees, French terry oversized hoodies with a contrasting colored interior, board shorts, a washed twill hat, towel with logo chevron print, and a custom Waverunner. Each piece highlights Yamaha’s signature logos.
Elliott was drawn to collaborating with Yamaha out of respect to their genuine legacy in motorsports. The goal was to create a playful, but elevated, collection that is a souvenir for fans of both brands.
The John Elliott x Yamaha EX Deluxe Waverunner serves as the catalyst for the collaboration. It is a custom, one-of-a-kind piece designed by Elliott in an ombre red glossy finish, and will be available to purchase only through JohnElliott.co at launch.
Preceding the launch of the womenswear line, this collection marks the brand’s first unisex apparel collaboration.
