JOHN VARVATOS CREATES NEW MEN’S JEWELRY COLLECTION
Fashion designer John Varvatos has developed a signature jewelry collection with Turkish-born jeweler Gurhan Ohran that is now available for wholesale distribution This new collection includes over 100 pieces including bracelets, cufflinks, necklaces and rings, all of which are crafted using precious and semi-precious stones, including black diamonds, sapphires, lapis lazuli, black onyx, sodalite, pyrite, gray obsidian, jasper, turquoise and labradorite, along with sterling silver, bronze, brass, leather, and 18k gold.
Varvatos’ design for the jewelry takes inspiration from his brand symbols, textures and color palettes. The pair then work together at Gurhan’s atelier and the collection is hand-finished in Istanbul by artisans who share the pair’s passion and dedication to their craft.
“Jewelry has always held an important place in our brand DNA,” said Varvatos. “Last fall, while searching for the right partner to further develop and create a more robust collection, I met Gurhan. We immediately connected on so many levels. Together we’ve created a very special and unique signature collection,”
Added Orhan: “It is a dream for me to have found a partner who shares my passion for rock music and the style that goes along with it. My own line of jewelry is an important reflection of one part of my life – world history and ancient cultures. John’s line enables me to celebrate another huge part of my life – music!
