JOSEPH ABBOUD AND ALLEN EDMONDS JOIN FORCES ON ARTISANAL SHOE COLLECTION

by Stephen Garner

Joseph Abboud has teamed up with Allen Edmonds to launch an artisanal shoe collection. With this collection, dubbed “Joseph Abboud for Artisans of Freedom by Allen Edmonds,” Abboud joins an impressive roster of craftspeople who have participated in the Artisans of Freedom program which highlights American-made products through ingenious design and quality manufacturing.

The collection includes 18 different shoe styles handcrafted in the USA at the Allen Edmonds factory in Port Washington, Wisconsin. Leathers range from premium calfskin to pebble grain to waxed suede, and include monk straps, cap toes, wingtips, loafers, and chukka boots. Colors range from black grain, to rich espresso, to burnished whiskey. Each shoe contains 360-degree bench welt construction for durability as well as custom cork insoles that naturally mold for a custom fit. Allen Edmonds shoe lasts, or shapes, were chosen by Abboud for each of the various styles.

“I am honored to collaborate with a company with as rich of a heritage as Allen Edmonds, that shares the same beliefs in American made quality and manufacturing as I do,” said Abboud.

The Joseph Abboud for Artisans of Freedom by Allen Edmonds collection, which retails between $395 and $445, will be available at the Joseph Abboud flagship store in Manhattan, as well as online at josephabboud.com. Select styles will be available at allenedmonds.com.
