KEVIN HART AND NIKE COLLABORATE ON NEW TRAINING SHOE
Actor Kevin Hart and Nike are collaborating on the Nike Free Train Instinct Hart, a personalized training shoe embellished with Hart’s choice of 23 motivating phrases, depicted in flash reflective technology. It will be available beginning June 11 at SNKRS, starting with a black colorway, while blue and red colorways (in honor of Hart’s children, Hendrix and Heaven) will become available mid-July. Each shoe will be available in the U.S. only, with limited quantities.
Similar to the Nike Free Train Force Flyknit, this new shoe aims at dual stability for lateral movement and lifting support. Its warp knit upper, Flywire technology and knit outrigger in the forefoot provide lock-down for quick cuts. Additionally, its dual-density midsole provides the cushioning and responsiveness needed for explosive movement and helps prevent the shoe from compressing under heavy weights.
Indeed, the shoe blends style with three essential performance elements: stability, flexibility and traction. “This shoe is bigger than the fashion behind it,” Hart confirms. “It fits my training needs. It’s built for everything — running, jumping, cutting and lifting.”
As Hart explained, Nike reached out to him, and he was only too happy to work with the footwear giant. “Nike sent me the canvas of one of their upcoming training shoes, the Nike Free Train Instinct, and wanted me to write what I felt would motivate and inspire people so they could use those words on my own version of the shoe,” said Hart. “The reflective nature amplifies the shoe. If you move your foot inward or outward, you are going to see one of these sayings, to hopefully inspire you to get up and get better. Every time you see or put on these sneakers, I hope it’s just a constant reminder to always put your best foot forward, to never quit and to know that you can reach your training goals and achieve personal greatness.”
