KINFOLK TEAMS UP WITH FILA ON CAPSULE COLLECTION
Sportswear brand Fila and Brooklyn retailer Kinfolk have collaborated on limited-edition apparel and footwear styles, set to release on Thursday, June 21. The capsule collection consists of two polo shirts with matching running shorts, as well as the Fila x Kinfolk Original Fitness footwear, combining both brand’s aesthetics for an update on iconic silhouettes.
The new Fila x Kinfolk fashions include two classic polo styles, offered in seasonal colorways of evening sand and white. The shirts are detailed with stripes of varying widths, and pops of navy to serve as a complement color. The running shorts, also designed in evening sand and white, boast a navy belt at the waist with a Fila F-Box logo clasp. To further fuse both brands, the apparel items are embellished with a dual-branded Fila and Kinfolk embroidered patch.
The collaboration also includes the Fila x Kinfolk Original Fitness silhouette in an evening sand hue that ties back to the apparel. Crafted in hairy suede, the shoe pays homage to each company through a variety of special touches. The footbed reads “Kinfolk 94 Wythe,” a nod to the brand’s Brooklyn event space, while the back heel says “Fila Biella Italia,” a tribute to Fila’s birthplace. The Kinfolk logo is embroidered on the tongue in navy, while tonal details like Fila’s signature flag and the shoe’s laces, each appear in evening sand.
The Fila x Kinfolk Original Fitness footwear retails for $88. The polo shirt retails for $52 and the running shorts retail for $40.
