Kith has worked with Team USA on an elevated lifestyle collection to celebrate the Olympic Games taking place right now in Tokyo, Japan. This extensive 72-style collection is comprised of Kith staples inspired by the Olympic Games and represents our home team. In 2020, the brand previewed a few pieces from this assortment and months later is now offering the full collection.
To commemorate the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, Kith has worked with Team USA to create collections for men, women, and kids. These collections channel Team USA’s storied legacy and the setting of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020 through Kith’s signature lens. These influences have been applied to a range of staple Kith silhouettes as well as new ones, all of which are crafted with the brand’s custom-milled fabrics.
The men’s range includes 58 styles of apparel and features two primary color palettes across the range. The first palette is Team USA’s iconic shades of red, white, and blue. The second palette pulls colors from the Olympics rings and reimagines them in lightened pastel shades. Special Kith co-branded variations of Team USA’s logo were developed for this collection and are seen throughout the collection.
Kith for Team USA takes an elevated approach to silhouettes inspired by sport. This is evidenced by styles such as patchwork denim gi’s, silk souvenir jackets, faux fur coaches jackets, cable knit cardigans, and intarsia artwork sweaters. More traditional styles like tracksuits, basketball jerseys, and swim trunks are also reinterpreted through custom patterns inspired by the American flag. Other styles include Team USA renditions of staple Kith silhouettes including the Howard Tee, Gorman Varsity Jacket, Williams III Hoodie, Quinn Pocket Tee, and more.
To round out the collection, 24 accessories for men and women were created. These styles range from headwear such as caps and reversible bucket hats to lifestyle goods such as umbrellas, totes, canteens, and mugs.
For the first time, Kith collaborated with the renowned global lifestyle and travel brand Away to create six unique variations of three beloved products. These include Away’s staple Bigger Carry-On and Everywhere Bag, as well as a special pebble leather Luggage Tag. These limited-edition versions of Away’s iconic styles are dressed in the Team USA palette and branded with Kith for Team USA logos, retaining their signature aesthetic and functionality.
The other partnership sees Kith reuniting with Oakley to create three sunglasses. These include two colorways of the athletic Kato X and one colorway of the classic Frogskins. All three styles are equipped with Oakley’s incomparable Prizm Lens Technology to provide the wearer with optimized coverage and a wider field of view.
