Kith has teamed up with Nike and the New York Knicks on a new partnership for the upcoming 2020-2021 NBA season. This partnership will exist both on and off the court through a collaborative collection and more.

As part of the new offerings, The City Edition uniform for the Knicks this season was designed by Kith and will be worn during Knicks games every Friday night, as well as tentpole and nationally televised games. This uniform utilizes a primarily black makeup while the shorts feature an orange-to-blue gradient on the side panels. The jersey features an original circular logo design with the words “City Never Sleeps | New York Knicks,” which also features an orange-to-blue gradient effect. City Never Sleeps is a slogan Kith has frequently used in the past through our collections and also perfectly describes the energy of Kith’s and the Knicks’ hometown. Nike’s iconic NYC Swoosh logo was also applied to the jersey and shorts, furthering the partnership and providing a strong cultural tie to the city.

To commemorate this moment, Kith worked with Nike and the Knicks to also create an off-court collection inclusive of apparel and footwear. This 16-style assortment highlights the sports team through Kith’s lens, featuring a range of apparel and accessories.

The apparel offering consists of a variety of silhouettes depicting Kith and Nike in the New York Knicks color palette of blue and orange. This approach is seen throughout a range of hoodies and sweatpants with Nike Swoosh logos going throughout, while tees and crewnecks feature the Kith classic logo accompanied by the Nike Swoosh logo. Alongside these styles are a windrunner track jacket and pant showcasing co-branded efforts, while featuring a water repellent ripstop exterior. To round out the assortment are two New Era 59Fifty caps, bearing Kith in the Knicks iconic triangular logo at the front and the NBA logo at the back.

The footwear component for this capsule features the Kith for Nike Air Force 1 Low – New York. This model features a premium white pebbled leather upper atop white sole units and translucent outsoles. The upper features asymmetrical gradient blue and orange TPU Swoosh logos, a nod to Nike’s AF1 designs from the early 2000s. The NYC Swoosh logo appears on the lateral heel panels, while redesigned Kith Air logos appear on the heel tabs and insoles.

The campaign for this collection was shot in Madison Square Garden and reunites iconic New York group Dipset artists Cam’Ron, Jim Jones, and Juelz Santana. The video campaign sees each member perform an original one-minute verse.
