by Christopher Blomquist

Various media outlets say that Italian luxury menswear brand Kiton and inner- and loungewear brand Mack Weldon have signed leases to open new stores in New York City.

The New York Post reports that the former has agreed to rent a three-level, 3,400-square-foot space at 692 Madison Ave. between East 62nd and 63rd Streets. The new boutique is due to open this summer but Kiton will also remain at its current location at 4 East 54th Street, a property that it owns.

According to the paper, the rent in the new space is $1.2 million per year.

Mack Weldon will also add a new store reports the Commercial Observer. It says that the DTC brand has taken a five-year lease for a 944-square-foot space at 317 Bleecker Street for an asking price of $275 per square foot.

Mack Weldon’s first NYC store opened in March 2019 in the Hudson Yards complex.

Neither brand would comment to MR about the new stores.
