L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti Says All Retail Will Be Allowed To Reopen For Curbside Pickup This Week

On Tuesday, in his second appearance on CNN in 4 hours, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said that online, phone order and curbside pickup would expand to “all retail establishments” sometime this week. “In the coming week,” he said, “it’ll be opened up to all retail establishments.” On May 6, officials announced that select retail sectors would be allowed to offer online/phone orders and curbside pick-up. Those select businesses included florists (before Mother’s Day), toy stores, music stores, bookstores, clothing and shoe stores, and sporting goods stores. Car dealership showrooms were also allowed to open with proper social distancing. This comes after a day of conflicting signals from elected officials. Read more at Deadline.
