L.L. BEAN, NORDSTROM, REI AMONG “BEST PLACES TO WORK IN RETAIL”
Fortune magazine and Great Places to Work have collaborated on the “20 Best Places to Work in Retail” list, which was published by Fortune.com.
Among the criteria the companies used, after surveying over 1,000 employees, were higher wages, medical coverage, bonuses, profit-sharing plans, company discounts, paid leave, education reimbursement, travel opportunities, and onsite benefits, ranging from massages to vehicle maintenance to in-store celebrations.
Build-a-Bear Workshop topped the list. Apparel retailers that made the list include CustomInk (3), REI (12), L.L. Bean (14), Nordstrom (18), and Zappos.com (20).
